The digestive system has to work extremely hard to break down the magnesium. Older people, especially find it harder to digest magnesium tablets. Taking liquid form supplementation means that the magnesium bypasses the digestive tract and therefore gets straight into the bloodstream. This process happens within a matter of a few minutes.

Many people actually struggle to swallow tablets and this is another advantage that liquid minerals have over the tablet variety. Children in particular struggle with taking tablets of any kind. Many people eventually cease to take vitamins and minerals as they cannot be bothered with the fuss of taking the tablets.
